More Nightclubs that Rock

Sin City is the undisputed capital of the nightclub scene. Here are some of our favorites.

Haze

It's been reported that "The new Haze nightclub will be a colossal, cutting edge space in which guests will be challenged to question their sense of perception and reality". We don't expect anything less from the award-winning design firm I Crave. Said to feature large hanging props over the entryway, a grand staircase to the mezzanine level and a birds-eye view of the action below, 100 foot interactive projection screens for impromptu performances by world-renowned artists, suede walls and a unique two-story wall of lights. Sounds like an amazing addition to over-the-top Vegas!

Located in the City Center towers and opening New Year's Eve 2009.

Mix

Mix Lounge, located atop the 64th floor of the hotel at Mandalay Bay, offers guests stunning views of the Strip from its floor-to-ceiling windows. The view is so great that the builders decided to make sure it can be seen from everywhere in the club -- even from the restrooms. The intimate 298-capacity lounge features wall-to-wall black leather decor with red lighting. VIPs can take a stairway leading to a private area above the main bar. The lounge is located adjacent to Mix restaurant, a 70-table restaurant featuring a $500,000, 13,000-glass bulb chandelier.

Surrender

Forbidden fruit dangling in front of you is the theme at Surrender nightclub. In this case it's an amazing pool for dancing around. An enormous green-eyed snake hangs behind one of the three bars - a slightly sinful homage to the temptations of the Garden of Eden...temptation. Except on Thursday nights at the pool party, no matter how hot your Las Vegas night gets...don't give in to the temptation of a long arcing dive into the cool water.

But fear not - there are lots of other amenities designed to entice you at Surrender. Located inside Encore the the dress code is slightly relaxed though stylish is still de rigueur - pool wear won't cut it here.

Inset lights around the second floor of the 26 cabanas move with the laid back beat and change colors to keep the mood just right.

Don't miss out on one of the dozen VIP booths adorned with their own stripper poles - most guests end up outside and miss the best of what Surrender has to offer.

The Bank

In a city forever upping the ante (if you'll pardon the pun) with regard to entertainment, it's no surprise that the newest offering at the Bellagio promises to be a club the likes of which Las Vegas has never seen.

From the same group that brought you the ever-popular Light Nightclub (may it rest in peace), The Bank takes nightlife extravagance to the next level. With a design that manages to spotlight a foyer, a dance floor and opulent VIP booths all at the same time, The Bank oozes luxury from every square inch.

Buzz about the club has been that, like an actual bank, the club will be, "a sanctuary for all things precious." And let's face it, in Sin City, there's nothing more precious than a good time.

Moon

Located on the 53rd floor of the Fantasy Tower, Moon creates a dramatic, surreal environment for discerning party-goers. From the color-changing, glass-tile floor to the majestic, floor-to-ceiling windows that provide unrivaled views of Sin City, every aspect of this boutique nightclub begs for attention.

A space-age theme pervades this 12,500-square-foot venue. Imagine a nightclub stationed on the moon -- all steel and glass with white and silver adornments. Cocktail servers and dancers dress in short, tight, metallic silver uniforms with black go-go boots. Lasers and space imagery fill the air and walls above the main dance floor.

Overhead, a retractable roof opens to reveal an incredible view of the desert sky and stars. When closed, the ceiling serves as a massive video screen, displaying giant images of the club captured by a series of cameras.

Foundation Room

The House of Blues Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay is one of the most exclusive clubs in Vegas. It is usually a members-only venue. Accessible only by a private elevator, the Foundation Room is located 43 floors up, on the top of the hotel. An outdoor balcony offers breathtaking views of the Strip and the eastern Las Vegas valley.

Designed with dark colors, fabrics and authentic artifacts from India and Tibet, the Foundation Room has an exotic, mysterious ambience. There is a fireplace in the main lounge surrounded by comfortable sofas -- a perfect place for conversation or relaxation.
